Wedding Gift Table

Having spent so much time and effort in creating your wedding gift list, the final task you need to consider is how these lovely gifts are going displayed at your wedding!

E-weddinglist.co.uk, specialise in offering a traditional wedding gift list. The bride and groom list their gift wishes, for the guests to view on line, then purchase from the retailer of their choice. This brings back the traditional element of beautifully dressed guests arriving on your wedding day with beautifully wrapped wedding gifts.

Your wedding venue will usually allocate a table area for gifts to be placed, so here are a few points to consider when ironing out the final details with them.

Colour scheme or theme. Having spent time co-ordinating your bridesmaids, groom, best man (and no doubt parents), the theme for your wedding reception should include the wedding gift table. Ask the venue organisers to include the gift table in any displays to carry the theme through. With all the gifts on the table, it is likely to be a good opportunity for your wedding photographer as another memory of your special day.

Display a sign. It can be as simple or as elaborate as you wish. Perhaps an early opportunity to say thankyou. Definately ensure that it clearly states the bride and grooms’ name, as some large venues run several functions at the same time. It will make it nice and easy for your guests to know where to place their gifts.

Postbox. For guests to place gift cards and vouchers. It will keep them together and nice and safe. Some venues may already have a box that you can use.

Security. All venues should have considered this already, but ensure that the gift table is in a secure area of the reception room.

Getting your gifts home safely. Finally, make sure that you task someone with ensuring that the wedding gifts are delivered back to your new marital home after the wedding. Wedding etiquete states that it is usually the final duty for the best man together with the maid of honour. Again the venue may be able to store them overnight for collection the following day.

Being a little prepared will make your day run that little bit more smoothly.

Hope all your preparations are going to plan.
