We also like to offer advice and ideas on what to include on your list, whether good deals on popular wedding gift items or alternative gift ideas. E-wedding is also an information site for wedding guests - should the happy couple you are buying for simply not produced a gift list, we rather hope that our blogs may give you some inspiration what to get them.
For the couple who have everything, whether because they have been living together for years, or combining two homes into one, or simply just want some different ideas for their wedding list, we have some gift ideas that may inspire them to learn a new hobby.
After the whirlwind of the wedding preparations, the big day , the honeymoon, getting back to work and everyday life, albeit as a married couple, can be a sobering bump down to earth. (Sorry, didnt mean to make that sound quite so depressing, but its like the first day back at work after a summer holiday, you start planning where to go next) - perhaps its just me?? One thing to remember is that you are getting married because you love each other and want to spend the rest of your lives together. So why not ask for vouchers or donations towards days out, memberships or night school courses that you can do together? Something that you never quite have the disposable income to fund it, if one of your guests has bought you the voucher, you only have to find the time to do it - and we can all do that!
Cookery school - perhaps you have spent an idylic fortnight in Italy, eating yourself into oblivion and want to learn just how to make your bolognese perfecto.
Membership - if you simply enjoy travelling and visiting places, how about an annual membership to National Trust or English Heritage? These can be purchased in many high street stores or online. Both offer some excellent incentives at the moment too.
Sporty gifts - whether its tickets to watch your favourite sport, a season ticket for your favourite football or rugby team or tickets to a major sporting event.
Sporting gifts - or a membership at your local gym for you to keep fit yourselves. His and hers raquets to go with the years membership to the local tennis club.
Learn a new hobby - horse riding lessons, stables always have loan hats that you can borrow, incase you are unsure if it will be a long term hobby. Golf lessons - you could be the new Douglas/Zeta Jones. Is there something you have always fancied learning? Consider a night school course - perhaps a plastering course, to help keep costs down, when you do your house extension!
Just think, when you husband carries you over the threshold of your marital home, you wont be looking at the credit card bill, depressed on a Sunday night, you will be in the local supermarket buying the ingredients for the next dish you are going to make in night school!
