What our brides and grooms are hoping for.
Our couples love the flexibility that e-weddinglist offers...
Here are some of the gifts that our brides and grooms have been putting on their lists. And they’ve certainly been inventive, with lots of unusual items being listed alongside the more usual household items. We’ve noticed a definite trend towards asking for charity donations, and requests for honeymoon contributions are also proving popular.
Our couples are telling us that they love the fact that they’re able to put an explanation of why they want a particular gift. “Giving your guests just a long list of gifts can be so impersonal,” says Sarah Hidderley, who got married in June. “Being able to add a note on e-weddinglist to tell our friends and family why we wanted a particular gift made it so much nicer and a lot more fun.”
Here are some of the items that our couples have listed:
- Hamburger press
- Euros
- Trailfinders travel gift vouchers
- Denby dinner service
- Pressure wash
- Dartboard
- Donation to Oxfam
- Mosquito repellent
- Bee house
- Telescope
Some of our brides and grooms are also wishful thinkers (or maybe they just have very rich relatives!) as they asked for a thoroughbred horse and a Porsche 911!
From the feedback we’ve been getting, we know that our couples love the flexibility that e-weddinglist gives them; they can list any gift they like and are not restricted to items that a certain store stocks. Where else could you put a dinner service, travel gift vouchers, euros and a telescope all on one list?!
